Obituary of Viola Mabel Riches

RICHES: Viola Mabel (nee Lewis) In her 96th year, peacefully at Lakefield Extendicare (formerly of Curve Lake, Ontario) on Wednesday May 2, 2012. Predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years, Wilf Riches (February 4, 2012)--now together forever with their Lord. Lovingly remembered by her daughters Sylvia Tucker, Dale Williams (Tom) and Sunny Bidiuk (Ted), brother Harry Lewis and sister Marj Licence. "Mom-Mom" will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Larry Tucker, Chris Tucker, Victoria Chester (Kevin), Valerie Jones, Angela Asbridge-McCauley (Gord), John Bidiuk (Katie Buchanan), Melanie Bidiuk-Rewniak (David) and Mandy Bidiuk-Cavanagh (Dave); by great grandchildren Greg, Stephanie, Lauren, Aimee, Nicholas, Dustin, Brayden, Layla, Dane and Leah; by great-great grandchildren Rowan and Camden; and by many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her brother Walter, sister Flo and grandson Cary Cronkhite. Vi has been known throughout her life as a caring, giving, encouraging, positive and hard-working woman who truly showed Christ's love to all. Special thanks to the staff of Lakefield Extendicare who provided such compassionate care to our mother and father over the past years. A celebration of Vi's life will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1:00 pm. at the Curve Lake Church, Curve Lake, ON.
