Obituary of Wilfred Lionel Riches

RICHES, Wilfred Lionel, in his 95th year, peacefully at Lakefield Extendicare (formerly of Curve Lake, ON) on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of over 71 years, Vi (Lewis), and lovingly remembered by daughters Sylvia Tucker, Dale Williams (Tom), and Sunny Bidiuk (Ted), and brother Albert. “Pop-Pop” will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Larry Tucker, Chris Tucker, Victoria Chester (Kevin), Valerie Jones, Angela Asbridge-McCauley (Gord), John Bidiuk (Katie Buchanan), Melanie Bidiuk-Rewniak (David), and Mandy Bidiuk-Cavanagh (Dave); by great grandchildren Greg, Stephanie, Lauren, Aimee, Nicholas, Dustin, Brayden, Layla, Dane and Leah; by great-great grandchildren Rowan and Camden; and by many other relatives and friends. He is pre-deceased by 2 brothers and 4 sisters, and by grandson Cary Cronkhite. Special thanks to the staff at Lakefield Extendicare who provided such compassionate care to our Dad, and who continue to lovingly care for our Mom. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1 pm at Lakefield Baptist Church, 56 Regent Street, Lakefield, ON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army, 219 Simcoe Street, Peterborough, ON K9H 2H6
